About
About GroundMap
Australia-wide LiDAR processing and correction, capture to specification and GroundMap Fusion: ground data you can defend.
We process and correct LiDAR from any sensor, provider and year, Australia-wide, and deliver models that show how certain every point is, so a mine plan, an approval or a design rests on measured ground.
Our processing is our own. It brings together passes, look angles and decades of surveys into one model, and grades every point. From a single capture to decades of surveys over a site, the result is one model you can measure from.
New capture is planned and specified by GroundMap. Until GroundMap holds its own ReOC and RePL (being arranged), drone and aircraft capture is flown by CASA-certified operators engaged per project to GroundMap's specification.

Who leads
GroundMap.
Tom Eiseman
Founder & Principal
Tom founded GroundMap to deliver spatial data a buyer can audit, from capture to a graded model.
He leads GroundMap Fusion and GroundMap's processing, from alignment and confidence grading to delivery.

Principal Geologist
Our Principal Geologist brings the geology to GroundMap's work: geological interpretation of terrain, change and underground models, and the exploration and mining context behind a scope.
He reviews mining and exploration deliverables, so a model is read the way a geologist and a mine team will use it.

How we work.
Captured to specification
Density, pass layout and accuracy planned around the decision the data has to support.
Confidence you can audit
Pass coverage and agreement recorded for every point; modelled data always flagged.
Documented end to end
Reference systems, accuracy checks and deliverables agreed up front; lineage and QA report at handover.
Quality and standards
Built to national
specifications.
- Work specified against the national LiDAR specifications: ICSM (Australia), LINZ (New Zealand), USGS 3DEP and ASPRS (United States).
- Accuracy measured on every job and stated per job, against independent check points held out of processing. How accuracy is measured ↗
- Processing lineage and ISO 19115 metadata with every delivery.
- Client data handled under agreed transfer, confidentiality and retention terms.
- Integrated management system aligned with ISO 9001:2026, ISO 14001:2026 and ISO 45001:2018. Not third-party certified.
